Full band rehearsal:  The 5h grade band meets 9^th period every Monday and Wednesday and alternate Fridays. The 6^th grade band meets 9^th period every Tuesday and Thursday and alternate Fridays. The 7^th grade band meets 7^th period every Monday and Wednesday and alternate Fridays. The 8^th grade band meets 7^th period every Tuesday and Thursday and alternate Fridays.

Band lessons:  Each student will receive one 15-20 minute band lesson per week.  Lessons are in groups of 2 or 3.  Students will be scheduled out of class on a rotating basis. 

Textbooks:  Each student will need to have their own copy of a lesson book.
5^th grade – Accent on Achievement Book 1

6^th grade – Accent on Achievement Book 2 (after finishing book 1)

7^th grade – Standard of Excellence Book 2

8^th grade – Various (Lesson books will be furnished)

Performances: Are REQUIRED for participation in this course.

Grading:  Students will receive a letter grade for this course.
