Now we often focus on the players that are scorers and focus less on team leaders and playmakers. Mr. Stone was one of the all time best backcourt players Nevada has seen. After graduation Mr. Stone joined the Army and served for two and a half years, 20 months in the South Pacific. He then returned to Nevada to marry his high school sweetheart, Midge Hansen. They were married for 48 1/2 years until her death in 1994. Mr. Stone is now retired from 37 years at Donnelley Marketing.
